Hello and thank you for taking the time to share your review of Sandals Royal Barbados. We're going back to Exuma, Bahamas next time. If you're a young couple looking for the party pool you might enjoy it more. While we had a great time, I'm not sure this Sandals resort is one we would go back to. Room maintenance requests also take days to get fixed. They definitely need some bartender training, and better ingredients. I think they are still trying to train up new staff after losing employees during the pandemic. Hard to imagine a bar in the Caribbean running out of rum.
In many cases they didn't have the right ingredients, so they tried to make-do. We had to send back multiple orders because the drinks were awful. Many of the pool bar bartenders seem to have lost their recipe books. There were many things that need work though. Also the manager, Jack, at the Merry Monkey pub (at the resort next door) was fantastic.
We also had a good experience with our butler, Rashida. While some reviews seemed to call out the food as needing improvement, we actually thought it was pretty good.
This was our first visit in 3 years due to the pandemic, etc. We've been to 6 different Sandals over the last 10 years.
